Sports equipment

With Aigle Azur you can take your sports equipment with you. Note that the maximum weight allowed is 23 kg per item. You can transport:

• Surfing equipment
• Bicycles
• Sports weapons
• Golf equipment
• Ski equipment
  • Alpine skiing: 1 pair of skis + 1 pair of poles + 1 pair of boots
  • Snowboarding: 1 board + 1 pair of boots
  • Water skiing: skis only

SPECIAL CASES

BICYCLE

To transport your bicycle safely, please make sure you:
disassemble the pedals,
deflate your tyres,
attach the handlebars to the side (parallel to the frame),
place your bicycle in protective packaging (cardboard, strong plastic).

SKI EQUIPMENT

To transport your skis safely, please make sure you place the skis and boards in an appropriate case.

FLIGHTS TO ALGERIA

Transport for your sports equipment is included in the 30 kg baggage allowance on our flights to and from Algeria. In case of excess baggage, you will find all the information you need here.

SPORTS WEAPONS

Air rifles, shotguns and safari rifles are regulated weapons. Transporting them is subject to specific authorisation and an agreement is necessary.

To transport them, you must have:
a permit to carry the weapon, which will be required at check-in,
documents needed to transport weapons and ammunition: export/import licences, permits issued by local and national authorities.

The following are accepted:
ammunition for all hunting weapons
ammunition for 19.1 mm or lower calibre weapons.

Packaging:
This ammunition must be packed in strong cardboard, wood or metal boxes weighing up to a maximum of 5 kg gross per passenger (gross weight = weight of the cartridges + weight of the box used for packaging). The cartridges must be stored in their packaging. To avoid cartridge slippage, all spaces must be filled with cushioning material.
Cartridges cannot be transported loose in the packaging.

Note:
Hunting and sports weapons are not considered dangerous goods, but they must be separated from ammunition. During check-in, you must declare that your weapons are unloaded and that the cartridges are packaged.
